EVALUATION

The Collaborative Futures Academy helps provide the tools for practitioners who aim to create a meaningful and inclusive dialogue between research and society, building on an ethical foundation of care, participation and authenticity. This starts with understanding personal motivations and capacities as engagers, and extends to interrogating the practices and power dynamics that shape our field. How can we foster more equitable processes of engagement that bring in those often left out? What are the tools that help us develop our own voice and drive change?

Run over a period of two weeks, with virtual participants from across the globe, Icarus designed an evaluation process to capture baseline aspirations, assess progress on an ongoing basis, and follow up to understand participant experiences and the impact on their practice.
