National Lottery Heritage Fund project evaluation

We evaluated this National Lottery Heritage funded Landscape Partnership Scheme collaborative project over a five year period. The aim of Nenescape was to better understand and promote the identity of the Nene Valley and explore how past industries and peoples have shaped the landscape. It included workstreams to share and develop skills, bring communities together and enable them to respond to current and future pressures through the interpretation and restoration of heritage and habitats.

The evaluation was designed around a self-evaluation process – to keep costs to the client low and, at the same time, to build evaluation knowledge, capacity and confidence among partner organisations. Individual work streams and projects were supported to produce their own evaluation action plans and to implement evaluation, in a way that would give us a clear picture of progress overall against Nenescape’s outcomes.
